It was heartbreak that inspired this initiative.
From the start, my marriage was a series of emotional storms. My husband, shaped by a challenging past, behaved with meanness and indifference, breaking my heart into a million pieces over and over again. The loneliness was suffocating. The lack of support, unbearable.
Still, I fought.
I worked to gain new skills and perspectives that would help me claw my way through the emotional chaos. I held onto hope, waiting for change that never came.
Despite his minimal efforts to improve, I learned, adapted, and battled greatly to reclaim my life, joy, and happiness.
Years of struggle and never-ending heartbreak taught me one crucial lesson— no matter how hard I tried, he wasn't going to change. I'd need to find my own happiness outside of him. I'd need to cultivate positive relationships— real friendships, and have some fun.
That’s when the idea for this group was born. Frum women who are determined to keep their family intact would come together to see how they could experience life’s best adventures despite their challenging marriage.
Whether it's enjoying a long night out or simply catching up over coffee, we’d come together to discover the potential of this friendship.
Perhaps you've felt the same way—waiting endlessly for someone to change, only to realize that you need to take control of your own happiness.
